Tracklaying

An attempt to lay some further track outside has met with mixed results. A deeply frustrating hour or so was spent attempting to solder outdoors with inadequate solder (the sort you get free with a soldering iron!). After downing tools in frustration a quick search on eBay found some lower melting point solder and once this had arrived a couple more lengths of track were completed, as well as cutting and cleaning all the remaining track sections. There's probably only a couple of afternoon's work to complete the loop outside. I was also mildly surprised to receive in the post an 8 ohm LokSound speaker which I seem to recall order way back in October from Euro Rail Hobbies in Canada. Not sure why it has taken this long to arrive, it's probably been round the world and back again! Anyway this will shortly be fitted to the Heljan 47 provided that I can fit it into the speaker enclosure in the fuel tank.
