In the deep midwinter
Well, as expected there has been little progress on the garden railway, mainly because the garden has mostly been covered in frozen snow for the last couple of months. I hadn't really thought through the times of year when outdoor railways in the UK would be impractical, but I'm now suspecting there will be 6 months or more when it isn't possible to run anything due to the weather. The only positive progress was the purchase of the final (for now) Lima open wagon at Model Rail Scotland for the princely sum of £16. In theory that now means that I've got pretty much all the rolling stock that I initially wanted - although that BR blue Heljan 37 is still very tempting. Maybe I should get a snowplough instead...
