Oustide!

It's amazing what a couple of weekends of sunshine will do... The decking boards outside have been finished, stained green and even wired up with the DCC power bus. The decking boards are fixed to various forms of support - screwed into the concrete on one side of the garden and fixed to foot long posts sunk into the soil on the other. The DCC power bus has been made by splitting mains cable and using the two sheathed wires (blue and brown these days). These are laid in the grooves in the decking planks to line up under each rail. Short droppers are to be soldered to each bus wire before the roofing felt is laid over the top and then the track is laid on to, with the droppers soldered in place. Anyway, unable to contain my enthusiasm a short length of track was swiftly laid out of the tunnel through the garage wall and the inside sections et up for an inaugural run. The two Lima 33's were set up in consist and sent out into the garden for the first time...
